I have used the Canvas notifications ever since OU switched from D2L to Canvas. I really appreciate the notification settings, they are really helpful. Canvas will email you for so many different things, if you wish. It will send you emails when someone messages you on Canvas, an assignment is graded, a discussion post has been posted, or even when an assignment is changed in one of your classes. It is really helpful because it helps me keep up with my classes without having to log onto Canvas all the time. I definitely recommend updating your Canvas notifications!
